How Do Dental Bridges Work?

how do dental bridges work

Dental bridges basically close up the gap between your teeth due to one or more missing tooth.

There are two other teeth which are being shaved off, as you can see in the picture on the left - called abutment teeth.

The false teeth are known as pontics.

Advantages include restoring your ability to chew properly, and keep your remaining, natural teeth in place.

Watch the following video for better visual explanation of dental bridges.
