Invisalign - What You Should Know

what is invisalign
Basically, it is a series of plastic and clear molds like the picture on the right.

These molds would then slowly move your teeth into the right position the way braces do it.

It is kept in place throughout the day and night; except for times when you're having meals and you need to chew.

Also, it is easier to maintain since there is no need to worry about food getting stuck in your braces. This is just one of the many benefits of having Invisalign.

However, you would need to change your mold approximately every 2 to 3 weeks as your teeth start to straighten.

You should take note that only adults are suitable for this treatment. It is not suitable for children as their teeth are still growing; children should take braces if needed.

In general, it looks like a retainer, except for the fact that Invisalign is strong enough to move your teeth to the right position while retainers are only suitable for those people with straight teeth already.
